After Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the Samajwadi Party, party leader Dimple Yadav on Feb 20 mentioned how the party has supported him a lot since he joined the party and also asserted that the party respects him a lot. Dimple Yadav said, “I believe during the elections he joined the party but he could not win the polls. Despite that, the party has sent him as MLC to the Legislative Assembly. We respect him a lot.”After stepping down from the position of national general secretary of Samajwadi Party on February 13, Swami Prasad Maurya resigned from the party on February 20.
