Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1 interacted with the leaders of the Tribal Community in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol. He also held one-to-one conversations with the members of self-help groups, leaders of PESA Committees. PM Modi also watched a cultural event in the Pakarai village of Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a public program in Shahdol at 03:30 pm where he launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission. He also distributed Sickle Cell Genetic Status Cards to the beneficiaries. The Mission aims to address the pressing health challenges posed by sickle cell disease, particularly among the tribal population.
