Amid escalating tensions, farmers across North India intensify protests following the tragic death of 21-year-old Shubhkaran Singh. The ‘Delhi Chalo’ march was abruptly halted on Feb 21 after Singh’s demise. Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), declared plans for nationwide tractor marches on Feb 26, demanding a guarantee law on minimum support price (MSP). Additionally, SKM announced a ‘black’ Friday in memory of the deceased farmer, pressing for a FIR at the Khanauri border. As demonstrations continued, Delhi Assembly echoed the sentiment, urging serious consideration of farmers’ demands.
